Not all Heroes wear capes : arrest for Robbery in Rochdale Town Centre

“Not all heroes wear capes” and “We were a bit out of breath”… This is what Sgt Ash Phillips and Sgt Brendan Walsh have told me this morning. 

Last night, they overheard a report of a robbery involving a possible weapon near Rochdale Town Centre. A quick turnout from them, and quick thinking from the CCTV operative meant that after a short foot-chase, an offender was arrested on suspicion of Robbery. 

One victim satisfied. One offender arrested. A community reassured. 

Violence and theft are real priorities for us as the Police. Keeping our Town Centres safe is a fundamental part of #OpTetbury and of #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek
